We collect the following information you provide to us on our site: Your first and last name, email address, postal addresses, password if you create a Deka account, and payment information if you purchase a product on our site.


We automatically collect the following information on our site:
Your Internet protocol address ("IP address"), browser type, domain names, access times, and operating system. We also use cookies and navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the information for which you searched and which you viewed. This type of information is collected to make our products and services more useful to you. In some of our emails to you, we will use a "click-through URL" to make your experience as easy as possible. When you click on one of these URLs, our web server detects that you clicked on the link from your email before arriving at your destination website. Tracking click-throughs helps us determine your interest in particular topics and helps us measure the effectiveness of our customer communications.

 Cookies are small pieces of information that a web site sends to your computer's hard drive while you are viewing a web site. We may use both session Cookies (which expire when you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on the Site. Deka Mobile App
We collect the following information you provide us when you use the UP service: Your first and last name, photo, gender, height, weight, and date of birth. You can also upload your address book and Facebook contacts to our servers or through email address lookup so we can help you find friends using UP. Other information you may choose to input include what you eat and drink, your mood, and your activities. We translate what you eat and drink into information about calories and nutrition you consume.

When you synch with the Deka mobile app, we collect the following information your band collects about you whenever you wear it: Detailed physical information based on monitoring your micromovements, including when you are asleep, when you are awake, when you are idle, and your activity intensity and duration. This data is translated into information such as your sleep patterns, calories you burn, and your trends and progress. This information can also reveal certain health conditions you may have. Your band stores up to nine months of data at a time.

We also collect your precise location data when you use our UP mobile app along with other data that we normally collect through our mobile applications described in the app usage data section below.


App Usage and Device Data
When you use our apps we collect information about your device, including your device type, manufacturer, model, and operating system; your device ID; and the version of your app. We also collect information about how you use the app and interact with the pages and features and a time stamped log of data exchanges.

 Personal Information We Get From Other Sources
We may get Personal Information about you from other sources. We may add this information to the information we have already collected from you in order to improve the products and services we provide.


Use of Information
Deka uses your information to provide and deliver products and services you request; personalize your experience and customize content, marketing, and recommendations; respond to requests that you make, provide you with customer service, send you press releases, general informative announcements, and promotional information about us or our products, or to aid us in serving you better; and protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.


Sharing of Information
When you use Deka App, your name and profile image is publicly searchable in the Deka directory. We use the email address you register with the Deka service and match it with information other people upload from their address books, Facebook contacts or through email address lookup. If there is a match, we share with that person that you are an UP user and allow them to invite you to connect to be part of their UP team. If you choose to be part of an Deka team or add people to your Deka team, you choose the Deka information you wish to share with your team. Be thoughtful of your own privacy needs as you choose what you share and with whom.

We may share your personal information with your consent.
We may share your Information with third parties to provide services on our behalf such as to process payments, or to store information collected through our site, app, and services.

We may share information with a parent company, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control with us.

We may share your personal information for the purposes of a business deal (or negotiation of a business deal) involving sale or transfer of all or a part of our business or assets. These deals can include any merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding.
